Processing of Personal Data

Why Does Horizon Process Personal Data?

Horizon Flevoland processes your data for the following purposes:

  • Storing, modifying, and deleting personal data in our CRM system.
  • Sending our newsletter if you have subscribed.
  • Sending invitations to events or meetings organized by Horizon or in which Horizon is involved.
  • Informing you about current and potentially interesting activities where Horizon is involved.
  • Improving personalized emails and invitations based on your preferences and interests (Innovation, Internationalization, Investment) to align with Horizon’s agenda.
  • Optimizing the user-friendliness and functionality of our website.
  • Providing services, including but not limited to offering advice and assessing (voucher) applications.

On What Legal Grounds Does Horizon Process Personal Data?Horizon processes your personal data:

  • Based on your consent, such as for sending the newsletter.

Or

  • For the execution of an agreement in which you are a party.
  • For Horizon’s legitimate interests, such as handling inquiries, complaints, or organizing events and improving services.

If data is processed based on consent, you can withdraw your consent at any time. From that moment, Horizon will no longer process your data unless another legal basis applies.

We always handle your data with care. Horizon securely stores your data and does not sell your personal information.

Processing of Personal Data via the Website

Use of Forms

If you use our forms, Horizon may ask for the following personal data:

  • Email address
  • Phone number

We process your data to handle your inquiry, complaint, or other communication. Your details are stored in Horizon’s CRM system and may be supplemented with business information such as company location, Chamber of Commerce number, sector, and involvement in Horizon initiatives.

Event Registration

If you register for an event through our website, a legal agreement is established between you and Horizon. Our general terms and conditions apply. You are required to provide:

  • Company name
  • Job title
  • First name
  • Last name
  • Email address
  • Phone number

These details are used to manage event attendance. The data is stored in Horizon’s CRM and may be used to contact you about similar events or networking opportunities in the future.

Your personal data will not be shared with third parties for commercial purposes. However, if an event is co-organized with a partner, relevant data may be shared for organizational purposes.

Horizon Flevoland Newsletter Subscription

Through our website, you can subscribe to Horizon’s newsletter. We use the Spotler web program for sending newsletters. You will be asked to provide:

  • First name
  • Last name
  • Email address
  • Preferences
  • Interests

Your personal data is stored in our CRM and kept until you request modification or deletion. You can unsubscribe at any time via the opt-out option in the email.

Job Applications

When you apply for a position at Horizon, your personal data is stored in our CRM system solely for recruitment purposes. After the hiring process, your data is deleted within four weeks unless you give permission for retention for up to one year.

Processing of Personal Data in Other Business Processes

Sending Emails About Similar Services or Events
Existing network members may receive emails about similar services or events. Under privacy laws, it is permitted to send such messages without explicit consent. Each email includes an option to unsubscribe.

Photos and Videos at Events
Horizon may take photos at events for promotional purposes, such as newsletters or other communications. Participants will be informed and given the option to object to publication. If an objection is made, Horizon will not publish the concerned photo.
